Dupa nebunia care a fost la lansarea wordpress 2.5 si schimbarile majore din interfata de administrare pe care le-a adus noul WordPress de pe atunci, baietii de la Automattic s-au gandit sa faca niste usability tests cu experti.
Adica in WordPress 2.7 o sa modifice iarasi interfata, dar si cu o oarecare logica de data asta. Bun, ei au testat sa vada daca si puterea obisnuintei era implicata in revolta oamenilor pentru noul WordPress, s-a constatat ca nu neaparat.
Ce e interesant de observat? Recomandarile expertilor privind interfata WordPress 2.5+ de dinainte de teste privesc exact modificarile pe care le-a injurat toata lumea. Le reproduc pe cele mai interesante.
Global
Reduce size of navigation fonts and page header.
There is overarching ambiguity in the Write/Manage navigation, in that the entire administration panel is a management tool, and in editing content users are also writing. The move between write and manage during the process of post creation seems jarring.
Include Dashboard on the same level as Write/Manage/Design navigation.
Dashboard:
The Right Now box takes up too much space above the fold for information that is essentially a snapshot. Combine Your Stuff with the Recent Comments box to make one Recent-themed box accessible above the fold.
Adding Media:
Replace Add Media icons with a single button.
Make the relationships between uploading media and the Media Library more clear.
Clarify the Gallery function.
Widgets:
Show an example of each widget so users have an idea what they’re getting before clicking add.
Comments:
Under Actions, add “Edit” link. Author’s name should NOT be link to edit content. Author name should not act as title, since many times an author will leave multiple comments. These are two different object types altogether.
Specific to WordPress.com:
WordPress tip that appears in yellow box either should be moved or have an option to be turned
off!! Toata lumea cred ca uraste notificarile alea.
Crazyhorse
S-au testat mai multe variante, iar proiectul initial pentru 2.7 a iesit invingator. Interfata noua, CrazyHorse ca nume de prototip, aduce o tona de imbunatatiri, printre care – un dashboard util, butoane mai bine aranjate in pagina de post, un uploader mai destept si cea mai tare chestie: posibilitatea de a posta direct din dashboard un post scurt! Weeei, zuper, zic.
