Pe 24 ianuarie 1984, Apple introducea pe piata primul Mac – Macintosh 128K. Era primul computer care sa aibe un mouse (ok, Xerox 8010 a fost primul, dar nimeni nu a stiut de existenta mouse-ului pana ca ideea sa fie furata de Apple – eveniment misto ilustrat in Pirates of Silicon Valley) .
Deci parerea despre mouse acum 25 de ani:
Apple makes the arrogant assumption of thinking that it knows what you want and need. It, unfortunately, leaves the “why” out of the equation — as in “why would I want this?” The Macintosh uses an experimental pointing device called a ‘mouse’.
